All three will be available with hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains.
When Toyota unveiled the 16th generation Crown in July 2022, it showed the crossover model for the U.S. first, then unveiled three more body styles as part of its expanded lineup. Crown Sport, Sedan and Estate are making headlines today as early tech specs were unveiled ahead of the model launching in Japan this fall, with the exception of the Estate, which is set to go on sale in late 2024.
All three are available with hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains and his five-passenger seating. The Crown Sedan is his 2 wheel drive, the Sport and Estate are his 4 wheel drive. Toyota says the sedan will be available with 19-inch and 20-inch wheels, while the other two cars will have 21-inch alloys. On the Japanese website, the Sport and Station Wagon are shown in two-tone paintwork, while the Sport is only shown in single-tone paintwork.
