IBM has created a teeny, tiny computer that is about the size of a grain of salt. This tiny computer can perform simple tasks, such as running the game Doom because the processor’s capability is comparable to a historical computer chip from the year 1990.
However, IBM has larger desires for this little computer. They want to take advantage of it to alter how supply chains are managed and how goods are produced and distributed.
This tiny computer makes use of a unique cell for power and a tiny LED light to deliver messages and interpret data about the movement of products in supply networks. To plug it into a standard power source, it is too small.
