According to Elon Musk Twitter will soon allow calls and encrypted messages,  
Elon Musk, CEO of Twitter Inc, detailed Tuesday the new features coming to the platform, including the addition of phone calls and encrypted messages.

Last year, Musk announced plans for “Twitter 2.0 The Everything App.” This includes features like encrypted direct his messages (DMs), long-form tweets, and payments.

In a tweet on Tuesday, Musk said, “The platform allows you to instantly voice or video chat with anyone using your username, so you can talk to people all over the world without giving out your phone number. can.

Twitter’s calling feature puts this microblogging platform on par with similar features to Meta’s social media apps, his Facebook and Instagram.

Musk said a version of the encrypted direct messages will be available to him on Twitter starting Wednesday, though he didn’t specify if the calls will be encrypted. Twitter announced this week that it will begin a cleanup process by deleting and archiving accounts that have been inactive for several years.
