On Monday, August 14, Xiaomi will officially introduce the Mix Fold 3, their third-generation folding phone, following a number of speculations and clues.

Lei Jun, the CEO of Xiaomi, will make the main foldable announcement live on stage at his annual event, which will start at 4 PM PKT. According to Lei Jun, the goal of Xiaomi is to release a “all-around flagship without flaws.”

In a different Weibo post, Lei Jun also discusses the Mix Fold 3’s challenging manufacturing process, which required Xiaomi’s engineers to painstakingly redesign the device’s construction and folding screen.

The phone looks to have a gold finish, and the quad lens configuration includes a periscope camera. Additionally, rumors have suggested a totally new hinge mechanism.

Unfortunately, the Mix Fold 3 won’t be available outside of China and won’t be able to compete with the Galaxy Z Fold 5 there.

Last but not least, the Redmi K60 Ultra and the Xiaomi Pad 6 series will also be unveiled at the Mix Fold 3 launch event. According to rumors, the K60 Ultra will be sold abroad under the name Xiaomi 13T Pro.
