OnePlus has officially confirmed today that it will launch its first foldable flagship smartphone. The phone is expected to be released in late 2023.

The company says its first foldable phone will offer the fast and smooth experience typical of OnePlus. It must be a flagship phone that is not bound by folding shape, such as industrial design and mechanical technology. We want to launch a device that aims to be at the forefront of today’s foldable market,” OnePlus president and COO Kinder Liu said at the company’s MWC panel.

Liu told TechCrunch that the foldable device will have a book form factor. This is closer to the Galaxy Z Fold than the Galaxy Z Flip. It remains to be seen if this will be a brand new device or a modified and rebranded version of the Oppo Find N2.

The company didn’t have much more to say at this point and didn’t have any photos to share.Perhaps the best look we’ve got with this device is the above teaser image of the OnePlus 11 global launch and the launch window We’re narrowing it down to Q3 2023. We’ll see what the company has in store for us then.
