Lahore:
Fawad Chaudhry, senior vice president of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), said Sunday that the party has launched an illegal operation during a raid to arrest Pakistani President Imran Khan at his mansion in his park in Lahore. said it would register a case against police officers involved in the violence.

The day before, after the PTI leader had left for the court complex in Islamabad to appear in court, Punjab police reopened an investigation at his home, breaking into and arresting several party officials.

Fawad said on Twitter that the party had called a meeting with the legal team.

“Today, a meeting of the legal team was convened. The way the police defied the Lahore High Court’s decision to break into Imran Khan’s house defies all rules regarding the sanctity of the house. [something] was stolen. [They] also took a box of juice.Innocent people tortured,” he tweeted.

Whatever happened in Islamabad, including all incidents, was one reason for the ongoing constitutional crisis in the country, the party leader wrote.

“It is unacceptable to disobey a court order. The Supreme Court must abide by its ruling. All police officers who have committed illegal or violent acts have their cases registered,” Fawad wrote on his microblogging site.

PTI Workers Attack Elite Force Van

Meanwhile, PTI officials attacked an elite Punjabi police force and its van returning from last night’s Pakistan Super League (PSL) final, Geo News reported on Sunday.

The Punjab government has decided to take action against those involved in the attacks.

A state government spokesman said, “Action will be taken against the perpetrators who attacked the elite force team and their vehicles.” Party employees bashed the van with sticks and smashed the windows. They also damaged the police car’s lights and windshield, causing Elite Force personnel to flee to save their lives.

PTI officials also possessed government weapons in the vehicle and stole two of his rifles, still in his possession, leaving them completely destroyed.

Officers returning from duty were also tortured.

After violence in which vans of elite units and a police task force were attacked by Khan-led party workers, Lahore police officers asked all officers entering and leaving their duty stations to reroute. They advised staff not to use the Zaman Park route when heading to Mughalpura, Lalpur and Dharmapura, and uniformed officials were warned not to leave the area where the Khan’s home is located.

Lahore police release arrested student

Police said they decided not to put the students’ futures in jeopardy and would not take legal action against them.

Students were advised to support parents who appreciated police initiatives to protect their children’s future.

The students, who were asked by the police to stay away from illegal activities, also promised to focus on their education.
