Today, Virgin Atlantic made the decision to make suspension in the operations between London Heathrow and Lahore and Islamabad (UK and Pakistan).

At the height of the pandemic in December 2020, when many of Virgin Atlantic’s customary markets in the United States and the Caribbean were essentially closed off or severely constrained, the troubled airline began operating flights from Heathrow to Islamabad and Lahore.

Virgin Atlantic representative said: “As we continue to expand our flying program in 2023, a “We’ve taken the opportunity to evaluate our entire network and chose to make a few changes.

“We regretfully decided to suspend our services between London Heathrow and Pakistan as a result of this review”, the statement continued.

“We regret any inconvenience this may have caused and would want to emphasize that this is not a choice we have made lightly. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone in Pakistan for their support over the past two years, including our clients, teams, partners, and the government”.

Until May 1st, Virgin Atlantic will continue to provide flights between London and Lahore, and until July 9th, between London and Islamabad.

The airline stated that it will inform any passengers who were scheduled to travel after these dates and who may be impacted by the cancellations of their choices, which include, where appropriate, rebooking or a full refund.
